ISLAMABAD: The Executive Committee of the National Economic Council (ECNEC), chaired by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Ishaq Dar, has approved 11 key projects spanning various sectors, including transport, communications, and the environment.
The meeting, held on Saturday, was attended by the Minister for Planning, SAPM Tariq Bajwa, ministers from Sindh and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, along with federal secretaries and provincial heads of development departments.
Among the approved projects was the revised PC-1 for the Dasu Hydropower Project. Additionally, the committee greenlit a policy paper aimed at providing training opportunities for up to 10,000 young engineers annually, who will be placed in development projects across the country.
