Pakistani rupee gains marginally against US dollar
PKR closes at 279.92 in interbank market, small rise over previous week

The Pakistani rupee posted a marginal gain against the US dollar on Monday, appreciating 0.01 percent in the interbank market to close at 279.92, up Re0.03 from the previous session, according to the State Bank of Pakistan.
During the previous week, the rupee also recorded a slight increase, rising by Re0.07 or 0.03 percent to close at 279.95, compared to 280.02 the week before.
In the interbank market, the dollar was offered at 280.12. In the open market, the rupee closed at 280.37 for buying and 281.18 for selling against the dollar. Against the euro, it was 325.91 for buying and 329.04 for selling. The rupee stood at 76.55 for buying and 77.30 for selling against the UAE dirham, while against the Saudi riyal it closed at 74.83 for buying and 75.45 for selling.
