Pakistan exports to US declined in December despite tariff benefit
TDAP data shows $447m shipments to US in December, marginally below last year

Pakistan’s exports to the United States remained almost flat in December 2025, amounting to $447 million, compared with $449 million in December of the previous fiscal year, according to country-wise export data released by the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP).
Despite enjoying a tariff advantage in the US market, shipments to the United States did not show significant growth in the month under review.
During December, exports to several key markets declined. China received goods worth $217 million, down from $226 million a year earlier. The United Kingdom’s exports dropped to $142 million from $184 million, while Germany’s fell to $135 million from $147 million. Exports to the Netherlands fell by 20%, and shipments to Belgium and France also recorded declines.
In contrast, exports to the United Arab Emirates increased to $180 million from $136 million in December of the previous year. Exports to Saudi Arabia and Bangladesh fell by 14% and 52%, respectively.
Over the first six months of the current fiscal year (July–December), exports to the US showed a 3% increase year-on-year, while shipments to the UAE grew by 18%. In the same period, exports to China declined by 8%, and exports to both the UK and Germany fell by 4% each.
Regionally, exports to Europe were down 12% to $826 million, and exports to Asia dropped 29% to $794 million in December compared with the same month last year. Exports to the Americas declined 2% to $520 million, Africa saw a 32% fall to $154 million, and Oceania shipments decreased to $29 million.
