MCB Bank profit falls Rs3.4 billion in 2025, board declares Rs9 final dividend
Total cash payout for year reaches Rs36 per share

MCB Bank Limited on Tuesday announced a final cash dividend of Rs9 per share for the year ended December 31, 2025, taking the total cash payout for the year to Rs36 per share, according to a notice sent to Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The final dividend represents 90 percent, in addition to interim dividends of Rs27 per share already paid during the year. The bank did not announce any bonus or right shares, nor any other corporate action.
The decision was approved by the board of directors at a meeting held on February 4, 2026. Shareholders whose names appear on the register of members as of March 17, 2026, will be eligible for the final dividend.
MCB Bank reported a standalone profit after tax of Rs54.2 billion for 2025, compared with Rs57.6 billion in the previous year. Earnings per share on a standalone basis stood at Rs45.73, down from Rs48.62 a year earlier, according to the unconsolidated profit and loss account.
On a consolidated basis, profit after tax attributable to equity holders was recorded at Rs58.4 billion, compared with Rs63.2 billion in 2024. Consolidated earnings per share declined to Rs49.29 from Rs53.35 last year.
The bank’s standalone total assets rose to Rs3.25 trillion at the end of December 2025, up from Rs2.70 trillion a year earlier, while deposits and other accounts increased to Rs2.26 trillion from Rs1.92 trillion, as shown in the statement of financial position.
Net markup or interest income on a standalone basis stood at Rs145.6 billion during the year, compared with Rs149.1 billion in 2024, while total non-markup income amounted to Rs35.8 billion. Operating expenses increased to Rs68.4 billion from Rs61.0 billion last year.
The bank’s annual general meeting has been scheduled for March 27, 2026, at 11:00 am in Lahore. Share transfer books will remain closed from March 18 to March 27, 2026, both days inclusive.
The annual financial statements will be transmitted through the PUCARS system at least 21 days before the AGM, the bank said.
