Pakistan cement dispatches rise 11% in 7MFY26

Pakistan’s cement sector recorded an 11% year-on-year increase in dispatches during the first seven months of FY26, with total volumes reaching 30.58 million tonnes, industry data showed.

Cement sales in January 2026 rose 13% YoY to 4.53 million tonnes. Local dispatches increased 4% to 3.60 million tonnes, while exports jumped 61% to 0.93 million tonnes. On a month-on-month basis, local sales declined 5%, whereas exports rose 51%.

Northern region dispatches increased 5% YoY in January to 2.95 million tonnes, supported by higher local sales. No exports were recorded from the north during the month following the closure of the Afghanistan border. Southern region dispatches climbed 31% YoY to 1.59 million tonnes, as a sharp rise in exports offset weaker local demand.

Industry capacity utilisation stood at 59% in January, with utilisation at 62% in the north and 47% in the south.

During 7MFY26, local cement dispatches increased nearly 13% YoY to 25.02 million tonnes, while exports rose 3% to 5.57 million tonnes.

Among major producers, Lucky Cement reported a 20% YoY rise in January dispatches, DG Khan Cement posted 16% growth, and Power Cement recorded a 44% increase, driven primarily by exports.
