Pakistan’s investment minister meets Saudi firm Kyan, discusses $200 million investment proposals

Federal Minister for the Board of Investment (BOI) Qaiser Ahmed Sheikh met a delegation from Saudi firm Kyan during its visit to Pakistan for the “Indus AI Week” organised by the Ministry of Information Technology and Telecommunication.

During the meeting, the minister referred to Pakistan’s economic ties with Saudi Arabia and called for expanding investment cooperation between the two countries. The Kyan delegation expressed interest in potential projects in energy, mining, information technology, agriculture and livestock.

According to officials, the delegation shared proposals for projects with a minimum estimated investment of $200 million each and indicated plans to bring additional Saudi investors to explore opportunities in Pakistan.

The minister said Pakistan offers scope for joint ventures and strategic partnerships across multiple sectors. He noted that the country’s population of over 250 million provides a large market and pointed to its geographic position as a gateway to Central Asian states for trade and investment.
