Ogra raises RLNG prices by up to 0.59% for February

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has increased re-gasified liquefied natural gas (RLNG) prices by up to 0.59% for February 2026, citing a marginal rise in terminal charges.

According to the notification issued on Friday, RLNG prices for Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Ltd (SNGPL) consumers have been raised by 0.53%, while rates for Sui Southern Gas Company Ltd (SSGCL) consumers have increased by 0.59% compared with January.

For SNGPL, the distribution price has been set at $11.3345 per million British thermal units (MMBtu), up from $11.2743 in January. For SSGCL, the distribution price has increased to $10.27 per MMBtu from $10.21.

Ogra said the revised prices incorporate terminal charges, transmission and distribution costs, port handling expenses and margins for Pakistan State Oil, the state-run LNG importer.

The weighted average sale prices were calculated on the basis of eight LNG cargoes imported by PSO under its long-term supply agreements with Qatar. Four cargoes were priced at a higher slope, while four were procured at a lower slope.

RLNG currently accounts for about 19% of Pakistan’s energy mix and is used to bridge domestic gas shortfalls. The government has indicated that reliance on RLNG is expected to decline gradually by 2035.

RLNG prices are reviewed monthly based on global LNG benchmarks, exchange rate fluctuations and infrastructure-related costs.
