Pakistan’s commercial vehicle market recorded its highest-ever monthly sales in January 2026, with truck and bus sales reaching 1,101 units, according to data compiled by Arif Habib Limited.
During the first seven months of FY26, total truck and bus sales stood at 4,259 units, marking a 92% year-on-year increase.
In the truck segment, Ghandhara Industries Limited (GHNI) emerged as the leading player with a 63% market share, followed by Master at 24%, Ghandhara Automobiles Limited (GAL) at 9% and Hino at 4%.
In the bus segment, Master Buses led with a 77% share, while GHNI accounted for 18% and Hino 5%.
Industry observers attributed the growth in heavy vehicle sales to improved economic activity in Pakistan, lower financing rates and demand generated by infrastructure and construction-related projects.
