OGDCL raises Chakwal Kal-03 well output to 750 barrels per day after workover

Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has increased oil production from its Kal-03 well in District Chakwal to 750 barrels per day (BPD) following a successful workover, according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.

Before the intervention, the well was producing around 50 BPD under natural flow conditions. After carrying out Multistage Physico-Chemical (MPC) treatment and installing an electric submersible pump (ESP), output rose significantly to 750 BPD.

The company stated that the enhancement is part of its ongoing production optimisation programme aimed at maintaining and improving output from mature fields.
