X outage hits US, UK users; downdetector logs over 23,000 reports

Social media platform X was hit by a widespread outage on Monday, with thousands of users reporting problems in the United States and Britain, according to Downdetector.

The outage tracker recorded more than 23,210 reports in the United States by 8:24 a.m. ET (1324 GMT). In Pakistan, the platform registered a peak of 254 reports at 6:47 p.m. local time.

Global internet monitoring group NetBlocks said X was experiencing international service disruptions that were not related to country-level internet filtering or shutdowns.

X did not immediately respond to a request for comment on the cause of the outage. Downdetector said reported figures may not reflect the full scale of the disruption, as the data is based on user submissions.
