SBP revises banking and office hours for Ramadan 2026

The State Bank of Pakistan (SBP) announced new office and public banking hours for Ramadan 2026, to be observed by all banks, development finance institutions (DFIs), and microfinance banks across the country.

Central bank offices will remain open 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays, without any breaks.

For customer-facing banking services, institutions are advised to operate 9:00 am to 2:00 pm, Monday to Thursday, and 9:00 am to 12:30 pm on Fridays.

The SBP said these timings will automatically revert to the pre-Ramadan schedule after the holy month.

The announcement follows the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee’s confirmation that the Ramadan 2026 moon has been sighted, with the first day of fasting falling on Thursday, February 19.
