The total funds received under Pakistan’s Roshan Digital Account (RDA) have exceeded $12 billion as of February 10, 2026, marking another milestone for the initiative, according to the State Bank of Pakistan (SBP).
Since its launch in 2020, the RDA has facilitated over 900,000 accounts opened by overseas Pakistanis, enabling them to engage in banking, investments, and remittance transfers directly with Pakistan. The initiative has become an essential platform for the Pakistani diaspora to manage their finances, offering attractive returns on local and dollar-denominated bonds, as well as equities, the central bank said.
The SBP expressed its gratitude to overseas Pakistanis for their continued support and trust in the RDA program. By the end of December 2025, the RDA had accumulated $11.707 billion in inflows.
The growth in RDA deposits reflects the ongoing confidence of the overseas Pakistani community in the initiative, which has contributed significantly to the country’s foreign exchange reserves.
Meanwhile, remittances sent from Pakistani workers abroad rose to $23.2 billion in the first seven months of the fiscal year 2026, up 11% from the previous year, further underscoring the role of the Pakistani diaspora in the nation’s economic stability.
