Pakistan exports to North America rise 3.07% to $3.916 billion in 7MFY26
US shipments grow 3.47% to $3.69 billion as imports from region surge 29%

Pakistan’s merchandise exports to North America increased 3.07% to $3.916 billion in the first seven months of FY2025-26, compared with $3.799 billion in the same period last year, according to State Bank of Pakistan data.
Exports to the United States, which account for nearly 94% of Pakistan’s shipments to North America, rose 3.47% to $3.69 billion in 7MFY26 from $3.566 billion a year earlier. In FY25, exports to the US increased 10.72% to $6.028 billion from $5.444 billion in FY24.
Overall exports to North America grew 9.97% to $6.415 billion in FY25 from $5.833 billion in the preceding year, largely driven by textile and clothing shipments to the US market.
In contrast, exports to Canada declined 2.64% to $226.28 million in 7MFY26 from $232.42 million a year earlier. For FY25, exports to Canada stood at $386.106 million, down 0.80% from $389.22 million in FY24.
Imports from North America increased 29% to $1.821 billion in 7MFY26 from $1.411 billion in the same period last year. For FY25, imports rose 26.98% to $2.588 billion from $2.038 billion, with the United States accounting for the majority of arrivals.
Under a new arrangement, Pakistan plans to import an additional $2.5 billion worth of goods from the US during the current fiscal year to help address the trade imbalance.
Exports to Latin America fell 18.87% to $37.14 million in 7MFY26 from $45.78 million a year earlier. For FY25, exports to the region declined 7.52% to $73.521 million from $79.502 million.
Exports to Central America edged up to $103.54 million in 7MFY26 from $102.92 million, although shipments to Mexico declined to $76.55 million from $78.85 million.
Meanwhile, exports to South America, including Argentina, Brazil and Uruguay, rose 18.46% to $238.52 million in 7MFY26 from $201.34 million in the same period last year.
