Ghani Dairies imports second batch of 500 heifers from Australia

Ghani Dairies Limited has imported a second consignment of 500 high-yield dairy heifers from Australia as part of its ongoing expansion plan to increase milk production capacity.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday, the company said the livestock was sourced from Southern Australian International Live Stock Services and has reached its dairy facility in Khushab.

“We are pleased to inform that the Company has successfully imported and received a further consignment of 500 high-yield dairy heifers from Southern Australian International Live Stock Services PTY Ltd., Australia. The consignment has arrived at the Company's dairy site located at Khushab,” read the notice.

The company said the import is part of its strategy to strengthen operations and enhance output.

The latest shipment follows an earlier import in February, when Ghani Dairies brought in 300 high-yield heifers from Australia under the same expansion plan aimed at boosting milk production.

In the same month, Ghani Dairies completed its initial public offering (IPO), which was oversubscribed by 3.10 times during the book-building process. Investors placed bids worth Rs5.817 billion against an issue size of Rs1.876 billion, according to filings with the Pakistan Stock Exchange.

The strike price for the IPO was set at Rs33 per share, above the floor price of Rs24, following book-building conducted on February 2 and 3, 2026. A total of 771 investors participated, with 223 securing allocations, while 78.15 million shares were offered to institutional and high-net-worth investors.

The disclosure regarding the livestock import was made in line with PSX regulations to inform shareholders and the public.
