PIA to resume London flights from March 29 after 6-year suspension

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) will resume direct flights to London from March 29, 2026 after a six-year suspension, restarting operations from both Islamabad and Lahore.

According to the airline, the first flight from Islamabad to London is scheduled for March 29, followed by the launch of Lahore-London service on March 30.

Initially, PIA will operate four weekly flights to London, including three from Islamabad and one from Lahore, using Boeing 777 aircraft. All flights will land at Heathrow Airport Terminal 4.

With the resumption, PIA’s total weekly flights to the United Kingdom will increase to seven.

The airline had suspended London operations in 2020, when it was operating 10 weekly flights on the route.

PIA said the number of flights to London will be expanded gradually based on demand and operational capacity.
