Treet corporation prepares to launch lithium-ion batteries amid Pakistan’s solar surge

Treet Corporation Limited is set to receive its first shipment of imported lithium-ion batteries, the company disclosed during an analyst call on Thursday, attended by Topline Securities. Revenue from the shipment is expected to be reflected in the fourth quarter, the brokerage noted.

Treet’s management said local assembly of lithium batteries will depend on the market response to the imported units. Earlier this year, the company announced its entry into Pakistan’s rapidly growing lithium-ion battery sector, aligning its strategy with the country’s shift toward solar energy and modern energy storage solutions.

Syed Sheharyar Ali, CEO of Treet, told BR Research that the company has partnered with a major Chinese manufacturer to introduce lithium-ion batteries and inverters, offering five SKUs across tower and wall-mounted formats.

According to the Policy Research Institute for Equitable Development (PRIED), Pakistan has already installed 33 gigawatts of solar photovoltaic capacity, reflecting a broader transition to alternative energy. Treet management noted that traditional batteries will continue to serve seasonal demand, especially when grid availability is low.

Founded in 1977, Treet Corporation Limited is a publicly listed company manufacturing and selling over 75 SKUs, including shaving razors, body razors, and feminine razors, alongside its new energy initiatives.
