55,000 tons of Mogas set to reach Port Qasim as fuel shipments continue

An oil tanker carrying 55,000 metric tons of automotive gasoline (Mogas) for local consumption is scheduled to arrive at the Port Qasim on Sunday, according to port authorities monitoring fuel supply movements.

Officials said the vessel, MT Khairpur, transporting a shipment for Pakistan State Oil, departed from Sohar, Oman, and will berth at the FOTCO terminal upon arrival. The incoming cargo is expected to support the country’s continuing petroleum demand requirements.

Meanwhile, another gasoline carrier, MT Deira Ghair, is currently docked at the same terminal and has discharged 32,000 metric tons of motor gasoline over the past 24 hours out of a total cargo manifest of 34,062 metric tons, as confirmed in the daily port operations report.

The vessel is scheduled to depart the FOTCO berth at 15:30 hours on Saturday, clearing terminal space for the incoming tanker carrying the fresh fuel consignment.

Port data further showed that a total of 11 ships are presently stationed at the wharf, with multiple commodities including coal, yellow peas, cement, liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), phosphoric acid, and bitumen being handled across different terminals at the port.
