Intermarket incorporates AFT Japan subsidiary as expansion plan progresses

Intermarket Securities Limited has incorporated its wholly owned subsidiary under the name AFT Japan (Private) Limited, as part of its expansion strategy into automobile trading through digital platforms.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Tuesday, the company said the incorporation follows its earlier approval in January 2026 for setting up a subsidiary.

The company announced that the decision was taken during a board meeting held on January 5, 2026, subject to regulatory approvals.

As part of the plan, the board also approved an investment of Rs150 million in AFT Japan Co., Ltd through the subsidiary, continuing an earlier initiative disclosed in September 2025.

The expansion is aimed at entering automobile trading through IT-enabled platforms.

Intermarket Securities Limited, formerly EFG Hermes Pakistan Limited, was incorporated in September 1999 and later converted into a public unquoted company in November 2006. The company has been listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange since March 2008.
