Lucky Motor enters exclusive partnership with China’s GAC Group

Lucky Motor Corporation Limited has entered into an exclusive partnership with China’s GAC Group, marking an expansion of its automobile portfolio in Pakistan.

In a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Wednesday, Lucky Cement Limited said its subsidiary LMC has signed the agreement with GAC Group, a Fortune 500 automaker ranked first in the JD Power China Quality Survey.

The company said the partnership will add GAC vehicles to its existing lineup, which currently includes KIA and Peugeot brands.

LMC is engaged in the manufacturing, assembly, marketing and distribution of automobiles and related accessories in Pakistan, and also assembles Samsung-branded mobile devices under an existing agreement.

The company said the addition of GAC is aimed at strengthening its product offering and expanding its presence in the local auto market.

Lucky Cement, the parent company, said it continues to diversify across sectors, including cement, automobiles, mobile phone assembly, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, energy and mining.
