The National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) on Thursday launched a WhatsApp banking service, enabling customers to access essential banking functions through one of the country’s most popular messaging platforms.
The service allows users to check account balances, request mini or full statements, and explore other banking options directly via WhatsApp, officials said.
NBP President Rehmat Ali Hasni said the initiative reflects the bank’s push for digital innovation and aims to make banking more accessible for millions of Pakistanis.
Chief Digital Officer Adnan Nasir described the launch as a milestone in NBP’s digital transformation journey, noting that additional features will be added over time to enhance customer experience.
The bank said the new service reinforces its focus on improving digital engagement, service delivery, and financial inclusion nationwide.
