Agritech shuts urea plant after gas supply suspension by SNGPL

Agritech Limited has shut down its urea plant after Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL) suspended gas supply following pipeline damage caused by flash floods in the Baka Khel area.

The company disclosed the development to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Monday under Section 96 of the Securities Act, 2015 and relevant listing regulations.

Agritech said that SNGPL has declared force majeure after the disruption, leading to a complete halt in gas supply to the plant. As a result, the urea facility will remain non-operational until supply is restored.

Agritech said gas flow is expected to resume after completion of repair work on the damaged pipeline. The company added that further updates will be shared as the situation develops.
