Pakistan fruit exports rise 6.25% to $251.9 million in Jul–Feb, vegetable exports drop sharply

Pakistan’s fruit exports increased by 6.25% during the first eight months of the current financial year, reaching $251.947 million compared to $237.130 million in the same period last year, according to data released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.

From July to February 2025-26, the country exported 471,264 metric tons of fruits, up from 462,292 metric tons in the corresponding period of the previous year.

In contrast, vegetable exports recorded a decline of 46.45% during the same period. Exports fell to 423,840 metric tons valued at $121.681 million, compared to 803,849 metric tons worth $227.224 million last year.

On a year-on-year basis, fruit exports in February 2026 rose by 1.24%, with shipments reaching 59,508 metric tons valued at $26.935 million, compared to 57,355 metric tons worth $26.204 million in February last year.

Vegetable exports during February also declined, with 62,458 metric tons exported for $15.151 million, compared to 286,072 metric tons worth $62.289 million in the same month of the previous year.

Overall, food exports during the July–February period stood at $3.394 billion, down from $5.173 billion recorded in the corresponding period last year.
