Pakistan’s information technology (IT) exports increased to $413 million in March 2026, registering a 21% rise year-on-year and 13% growth compared to February, according to data compiled by Topline Securities Limited.
Net IT exports, calculated after adjusting for imports, stood at $360 million in March, reflecting a 16% increase from the same month last year.
Cumulatively, IT exports reached $3.39 billion during July–March FY2025-26, marking a 20% year-on-year increase, according to Topline Research.
Despite the government’s target of $5 billion in IT exports for FY26, analysts expect the sector to grow by 18–20% during the year, taking total exports to around $4.5 billion, compared to $3.8 billion in FY25.
Under the government’s ‘Uraan Pakistan’ plan, IT exports are projected to reach $10 billion by FY2028-29, implying an annual growth rate of around 27% over the next three years.
Analysts said continued policy support, exchange rate stability, and sustained global demand for digital services will remain key factors driving growth in the sector.
