The accords were concluded between provincial authorities, private firms and industry stakeholders from both countries to strengthen cooperation in key development sectors and expand economic and technical collaboration.
The first MoU was signed between the local government of Sindh and Lucion Environmental Technology Group for collaboration on a seawater desalination project in Karachi, aimed at increasing the city’s water supply. The agreement was signed by Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon on behalf of the provincial government and by Chairman Yuhui representing the Chinese company.

A third agreement focusing on the tea industry was signed between MESKAY & FEMTEE Trading Company, Hunan Tea Group, and Jiaolong International Technology (Hainan) to promote cooperation across the sector and support the development of the tea industry in both countries while strengthening economic, trade and people-to-people ties. The MoU was signed by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla on behalf of the Pakistani side, alongside Chairman Zhou Chongwang and Chairman Hao Jiaolong representing the Chinese partners.
Senior officials attending the ceremony included Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Sindh Syed Qasim Naveed Qamar, Chief Secretary Sindh Ali Hassan Barohi, and Pakistan’s Ambassador to China Khalil Hashmi, reflecting official-level participation in the bilateral engagements.
