KPT invites bids for Vessel Traffic Management System at Karachi Port

Karachi Port Trust (KPT) has invited electronic bids from local and international firms for the supply and installation of a Vessel Traffic Management System (VTMS) at Karachi Port.

According to a public notice, the project will follow the Single Stage Two Envelope Procedure under the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA) Rules 2004.

KPT said that interested firms must be registered with the Federal Board of Revenue, Sindh Revenue Board and the EPADS 2.0 system. Tender documents, including specifications and terms, are available through the EPADS portal.

KPT has set June 4, 2026, as the deadline for submission of electronic bids, which must be uploaded through EPADS by 2:30 pm. Bids will be opened the same day at 3:00 pm.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid security of Rs10 million in the form of a pay order or bank guarantee issued by a scheduled bank with the required credit rating.

A pre-bid meeting is scheduled for May 6, 2026 at 11:00 am at the KPT head office. KPT said it reserves the right to reject any or all bids in accordance with PPRA rules.
