AGP Limited approves new pharma marketing deals, explores expansion opportunities

The board of AGP Limited has approved multiple strategic initiatives, including new pharmaceutical marketing and manufacturing arrangements, while authorising the company to explore acquisitions and investment opportunities.

In a meeting held on April 29, 2026, the board allowed the company to identify and evaluate growth avenues such as acquisitions, investments and business combinations. The company will also assess initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and achieving synergies across its operations and associated entities.

As part of this process, AGP will conduct feasibility, commercial and valuation analyses before presenting proposals for board approval. The company has also been authorised to appoint legal, financial and other advisors to support these initiatives.

Separately, the board approved an arrangement with an associated company under which AGP will provide contract marketing services for the pharmaceutical product “Xanax”. The company will receive marketing rights for the product in Pakistan, with launch expected in May 2026, subject to completion of regulatory and contractual requirements.

The board also approved an agreement with STADA, under which AGP will secure marketing and distribution rights for the “Oilatum®” skincare product range in Pakistan. The product is expected to be introduced in the local market in May 2026 after necessary approvals.

In another development, AGP approved an arrangement to undertake contract manufacturing and marketing services for the pharmaceutical product “Viagra”. Under the agreement, the company will act as the contract manufacturing organisation and will also hold marketing rights for the product in Pakistan, with a planned launch in May 2026.

The company said the agreements are currently being finalised and remain subject to completion of all required formalities.
