Altern Energy terminates power, gas agreements with govt, CPPA-G, SNGPL

Altern Energy Limited has terminated key power and gas agreements with the government and related entities, according to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Monday.

The company said it signed a termination agreement on April 30, 2026, with the Government of Pakistan and Central Power Purchasing Agency (Guarantee) Limited.

Under the agreement, the implementation agreement with the government, the associated sovereign guarantee, and the power purchase agreement with CPPA-G have been terminated.

Separately, Altern Energy also entered into a termination agreement with Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited on the same date.

Following this, the gas supply agreement between the company and SNGPL has also been terminated.
