Automaker reviewing Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV and Tiggo V for Pakistan as demand rises for fuel-efficient and technology-focused vehicles

Chery Master Pakistan evaluates launch of new hybrid and electric models

Chery Master Pakistan is considering the introduction of up to three new models in the local market, including hybrid and electric vehicles, as the company positions itself for growing demand in Pakistan’s evolving new energy vehicle segment.

In a statement issued following its participation at Auto China 2026, the company said it was evaluating the Tiggo 4 HEV, QQ BEV and Tiggo V for possible launch in Pakistan.

The development comes as parent company Chery Automobile prepares to roll out 13 new models globally over the next two years across internal combustion, hybrid and fully electric platforms, covering SUV, sedan, urban mobility and pickup segments.

Chery Master Pakistan said these vehicle categories are gaining relevance locally as consumers increasingly prioritise fuel economy, practicality and advanced technology amid persistently high fuel costs and changing mobility trends.

“Pakistan remains an important growth market for Chery’s advanced mobility technologies,” said Samir Malik, chief executive officer of Chery Master Pakistan, adding that the company was focused on assessing products suited to local market conditions and consumer requirements.

Among the models under evaluation is the QQ BEV, a compact electric hatchback unveiled at Auto China 2026 with a claimed range of up to 410 kilometres. The company said the vehicle is being positioned as an affordable urban mobility solution for densely populated cities including Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad.

Meanwhile, the Tiggo 4 HEV would expand the company’s hybrid lineup into the compact SUV segment, which has seen increasing consumer interest due to fuel efficiency benefits and lower running costs compared to conventional petrol vehicles.

The Tiggo V concept, on the other hand, combines SUV styling, MPV practicality and pickup-inspired utility in a single platform. According to the company, the vehicle’s multi-purpose configuration aligns with Pakistan’s preference for family-oriented vehicles capable of serving both lifestyle and business needs.

The automaker said hybrid technology could play a key role in accelerating adoption of new energy vehicles in Pakistan, particularly as charging infrastructure for fully electric vehicles remains limited across much of the country.

Chery Master Pakistan operates as a joint venture between China’s Chery Automobile and Pakistan’s Master Group of Industries.
