PSX launches new “Apparel” sector, reclassifies three listed companies

The Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) has formally introduced a separate “Apparel” sector for listed companies primarily engaged in the apparel business, as part of efforts to improve sectoral representation of economic activity on the exchange.

According to PSX Notice No. PSX/N-566 issued on Friday, three listed companies have been placed in the newly created sector with effect from Monday, May 11, 2026.

The companies include Stylers International Limited, previously classified under Textile Composite; International Knitwear Limited, also previously listed in Textile Composite; and Image Pakistan Limited, which was earlier categorised under Synthetic and Rayon.

PSX said the creation of the apparel sector was aimed at improving the classification of listed companies and providing a more accurate reflection of economic activity represented on the exchange.

Under the revised classification, Stylers International Limited will trade under the symbol “STYLERS”, International Knitwear Limited under “INKL” and Image Pakistan Limited under “IMAGE” within the new apparel sector category.
