Tariq Glass to set up value-added glass manufacturing facility in Sheikhupura SEZ

Tariq Glass Industries Limited (TGL) has received approval to enter the Quaid-e-Azam Business Park Special Economic Zone (QABP-SEZ) in Sheikhupura and has been allocated approximately 10.41 acres of land for a new manufacturing facility, according to a disclosure submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX).

The company said the proposed plant will focus on value-added glass and allied products as part of its expansion and diversification plans.

According to the notice, the land allocation was approved by the Authority of Quaid-e-Azam Business Park – Special Economic Zone.

TGL said the project is aimed at strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and expanding its presence in the value-added glass segment.

The company added that it would now proceed with the required regulatory, administrative and operational formalities for the development and commissioning of the proposed facility.

Tariq Glass Industries Limited was incorporated in Pakistan in 1978 and converted into a public limited company in 1980. The company is principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of glass containers, opal glass, tableware and float glass.
