Pakistani rupee gains 0.6% against dollar since start of US-Iran conflict
Indian and Sri Lankan currencies fall 5.6% and 5.1% respectively, while Bangladeshi taka weakens 0.5% amid regional volatility

The Pakistani rupee has appreciated by 0.6% against the US dollar since the start of the US-Iran conflict, demonstrating relative stability despite heightened geopolitical tensions and volatility across regional markets.
According to Topline Securities, the rupee outperformed several regional peers during the period.
The Indian rupee weakened by around 5.6% against the US dollar, while the Sri Lankan rupee declined by approximately 5.1%.
The Bangladeshi taka also recorded a depreciation of nearly 0.5% during the same period.
The currency movements come amid increased uncertainty in global financial markets following the escalation of tensions between the United States and Iran.
Analysts said the performance highlighted the Pakistani rupee's relative resilience compared with other South Asian currencies despite regional and global market pressures.
