FBR sets up PRAL facilitation desk at Large Taxpayers Office Karachi
New centre to provide technical support for IRIS, e-filing, tax payments, registrations and refund-related issues

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has established a Pakistan Revenue Automation Ltd. (PRAL) front desk at the Large Taxpayers Office (LTO) Karachi to provide technical support and facilitate taxpayers using digital tax services.
According to an official statement, the facility became operational on June 5 and was established in line with the directives of the prime minister and requests from Karachi's business community.
The front desk is headed by a dedicated Chief (Inland Revenue Operations) and supported by a specialised PRAL team equipped with the required information technology infrastructure.
The facility will assist taxpayers with issues related to the IRIS system, e-filing, taxpayer registration, online tax payments, sales tax returns, refunds and other digital tax services.
FBR said the initiative is part of its broader efforts to improve taxpayer facilitation, enhance service delivery and promote voluntary tax compliance through greater use of digital platforms.
The tax authority added that the dedicated support centre is intended to provide timely resolution of technical issues and improve access to FBR's online services for Karachi-based businesses.
