Intermarket Securities signs biowaste-to-energy ESG partnership
MoU with Biowaste Energy Ventures covers waste-collection infrastructure and conversion of livestock and agricultural waste into clean energy and organic by-products

Intermarket Securities Limited has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Biowaste Energy Ventures (Private) Limited to work on an environmental, social and governance initiative focused on converting agricultural and livestock waste into clean energy.
The collaboration will support the development of designated waste-collection infrastructure to collect and process livestock and agricultural waste.
The waste will be converted into clean energy and organic by-products, supporting Intermarket Securities’ environmental sustainability and ESG objectives.
The company said the agreement was approved by its board and aligned with its ESG strategy and the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan’s ESG Disclosure Guidelines.
Intermarket Securities clarified that the MoU only provides a framework for cooperation. It does not constitute an acquisition, joint venture, equity investment or any other binding commercial partnership.
The company said it would continue assessing opportunities arising from the collaboration and make further disclosures to the Pakistan Stock Exchange when required under applicable regulations.
