Big Bird Foods secures Gulf export order, eyes Rs1.2 billion in annual revenue
The contract for raw chicken and processed poultry products is expected to nearly double the company’s current export volumes.

Big Bird Foods Limited (BBFL) has secured a major export order from a Gulf-based halal food company, which is projected to add about Rs1.2 billion to its annual revenue.
In a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX), the company said the order covers raw chicken and further processed poultry products.
BBFL expects the contract to approximately double its existing export volumes, with further growth possible as it expands production capacity and introduces additional product categories.
The company said the agreement forms part of its strategy to expand its export business and diversify its revenue base through partnerships in Gulf markets.
Management expects the contract to support foreign exchange earnings and provide a platform for further expansion as international demand for halal poultry products grows.
According to the company, the global halal food market is currently valued at more than $900 billion annually and is projected to exceed $1.4 trillion by 2034.
Pakistan’s annual meat exports are expected to cross $500 million in FY2025-26, positioning domestic producers to increase their share in international halal food markets.
BBFL said its export partnerships could strengthen its presence in overseas markets while supporting higher capacity utilisation and the introduction of new poultry product categories.
