Wahdat Poultry begins rearing 100,000 additional layer birds under IPO-funded expansion

Wahdat Poultry Farm Limited has commenced the rearing of an additional flock of 100,000 layer birds as part of its expansion programme funded through proceeds raised from the company's Initial Public Offering (IPO), according to a notice submitted to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.

In a disclosure issued under Section 96 and Section 131 of the Securities Act, 2015, and Clause 5.6.1 of the PSX Rule Book, the company informed shareholders and investors that the rearing process for the additional flock has formally begun.

The company stated that the new flock forms part of its planned capacity expansion financed through IPO proceeds.

According to the notice, the birds are expected to reach laying maturity in line with the planned production cycle.

Wahdat Poultry Farm said commercial egg production from the additional flock is anticipated to commence in November 2026.

The company said the disclosure was being made to keep shareholders and the investing public informed about the progress of its IPO-funded expansion plans.

The addition of 100,000 layer birds is expected to increase the company's egg production capacity once the flock enters the commercial laying stage later this year.

On May 9, 2026, the PSX listed the Wahdat Poultry Farm Limited on its Main Board following the completion of its initial public offering (IPO). The company raised ₨956 million through the book-building and public subscription process, with the strike price set at ₨18 per share against a floor price of ₨12 per share.

The IPO attracted strong investor participation, with the book-building portion oversubscribed 5.2 times and the retail segment oversubscribed 1.2 times.
