FBR to suspend IRIS, POS and other tax services for maintenance from Aug 8-10
Digital Invoicing, payment system and SWAPS also affected during nearly 53-hour maintenance window
ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) will carry out planned system maintenance from 12:30 am on Saturday, August 8, 2026, to 5:00 am on Monday, August 10, 2026, during which several key online tax services will remain unavailable.
According to the FBR notification, the services affected during this period include IRIS, Digital Invoicing (DI), the Payment System, the Synchronised Withholding Administration and Payment System (SWAPS), and POS Registration.
Taxpayers and other users will not be able to access these services or carry out related transactions while maintenance is underway.
The FBR has advised taxpayers and stakeholders to plan their tax-related activities accordingly and complete all time-sensitive filings, payments, registrations, and other transactions before the maintenance window begins.
All affected services are expected to resume immediately after the maintenance activity is successfully completed, the FBR said.
The FBR regretted any inconvenience caused and thanked taxpayers and stakeholders for their cooperation and understanding.
