‘Govt striving hard to increase industrial competitiveness’

ISLAMABAD: The government is taking concrete measures to increase industrial competitiveness, said Advisor to Prime Minister on Commerce Abdul Razak Dawood, adding that more measures would be taken to boost investment in the country.

He was talking to a delegation of presidents of chambers of commerce, Dawood on Tuesday in Islamabad.

The delegation welcomed the Saudi investment in the country and appreciated the current government’s effort in bringing the much-needed investment. The delegation congratulated the advisor on the successful establishment of Pak-Saudi Business Conference.

The delegation also presented proposals regarding tariff policy for the upcoming budget, which was jointly prepared by the chambers of commerce. It requested the government to remove customs duties on raw materials.

The advisor assured the delegation of his complete support in resolving the issues faced by the industry.
