Govt makes plan to meet energy needs of country for next 25 years

Islamabad: Special Assistant to Prime Minister on Petroleum Nadeem Babar has said the government is working on an integrated energy plan for next 25 years to meet energy needs of the country.

Addressing LNG conference in Islamabad on Friday, he said the energy plans will not only ensure sufficient energy but it will also be affordable and sustainable. The special assistant said energy efficiency needs to be enhanced to check wastage of energy. He said the government is encouraging the private sector to take part in the energy sector.

He said liquefied natural gas market is fast-changing and we need to keep an eye on it.
