Secure Logistics partners with Maersk for onshore logistics, expands into Central Asia

Domestic services to begin by September 2024; regional services to launch by November 2024

Maersk West and Central Asia Limited, a global shipping, transport, and logistics giant, has appointed Pakistan’s Secure Logistics Group Limited as its onshore logistics partner.

This strategic partnership aligns with Secure Logistics’ continued commitment to expanding its logistics services portfolio, the company said in a notice to the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Wednesday.

“This announcement is made in accordance with the relevant regulatory requirements and aims to keep our valued shareholders and the public informed about the latest developments in our business operations,” Secure Logistics said in its notice.

In addition, Maersk and Secure Logistics are also engaged in discussions regarding a similar arrangement under SLG’s TIR License, whereby the company will provide logistics services to Maersk starting with the regional markets up to the Central Asian Countries.

Whereas the domestic services are scheduled to commence by the end of September 2024, the regional services are expected from the end of October or early November 2024.
