Tan emphasized the strong partnership between Intel and TSMC, highlighting the longstanding friendship with TSMC founder Morris Chang and CEO Wei. The discussion focused on identifying areas of collaboration that could benefit both companies.

Wei was in Silicon Valley this week for TSMC’s annual technology conference, where Tan was also present, according to two Reuters witnesses. The meeting comes after Intel reported its latest quarterly results, with both companies seeking ways to work together for mutual success in the semiconductor industry.
