The Central Depository Company of Pakistan (CDC) has successfully integrated AKD Securities Limited into its RAAST Aggregator Platform, allowing investors to transfer funds instantly and securely. This move, supported by Microlinks (Pvt.) Limited, marks another significant step in CDC’s ongoing efforts to digitalize and enhance transparency in Pakistan’s capital markets.
The integration was formalized during a signing ceremony at CDC House, attended by CDC Chief Executive Officer Mr. Badiuddin Akber and AKD Securities Chairperson Ms. Hina Junaid Dhedhi. With the system now live, AKD Securities customers can enjoy real-time fund transfers, improving trading efficiency.
Under the new system, each investor sub-account is assigned a unique RAAST Investment ID in IBAN format. Once registered as a beneficiary in the investor’s bank, funds can be transferred directly to the broker’s client account, making the funds available for trading within minutes.
Mr. Akber highlighted that this development was reshaping investor fund transfers, making them quicker, more secure, and in line with the changing needs of the market. Ms. Dhedhi described the integration as a significant milestone, reinforcing AKD Securities’ commitment to providing solutions that enhance convenience and trust for investors.
With AKD Securities joining, CDC has expanded its network of brokers under the RAAST Aggregator Module. Other brokers already onboard include Muhammad Munir Muhammad Ahmed Khanani Securities, Chase Securities, EClear Services Limited, Zahid Latif Khan Securities, and Standard Capital Securities, with more expected to join soon.
