Siemens Pakistan discontinues Motor Repairs Business as part of portfolio realignment

Strategic move follows parent company's decision; no significant impact on overall operations

Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Co. Limited has announced the discontinuation of its Motor Repairs Business, citing it as a non-core portfolio in line with a strategic portfolio realignment by its parent company.

According to a filing by the company at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Friday, the decision was approved during a Board of Directors meeting held on Thursday, September 18, 2025, in Karachi, Pakistan.

The company clarified that the discontinuation will not have any material impact on its overall business operations. Additionally, under Section 183(3) of the Companies Act, 2017, the move does not qualify as the discontinuation of an “undertaking” or a “sizeable part” of Siemens Pakistan’s business.

The company further stated that the decision aligns with the global strategic direction of its parent company and is part of efforts to streamline operations.

Siemens (Pakistan) Engineering Co. Ltd was incorporated in 1953 as a public limited company. The company is principally engaged in execution of projects under contracts and in manufacturing, installation and sale of electronic and electrical capital goods.
