Four petrol cargo ships arrive at Port Qasim
Port officials say 37,000 tonnes already discharged, another 50,000 tonnes currently being offloaded

Four ships carrying petrol cargoes have arrived at Port Qasim as Pakistan monitors fuel supplies amid rising global oil prices linked to the ongoing US-Israel-Iran conflict, Geo News reported.
Port officials said about 37,000 tonnes of petrol have already been discharged from one vessel, while another shipment of around 50,000 tonnes is currently being offloaded at the port.
Two additional vessels are expected in the coming days, with one scheduled to arrive on March 12 carrying approximately 55,000 tonnes and another on March 13 with about 34,000 tonnes of petrol.
The arrivals come shortly after the federal government raised petrol and diesel prices by Rs55 per litre following increases in international oil prices.
Under the latest revision, the price of petrol has been set at Rs321.17 per litre, up from Rs266.17, while the price of high-speed diesel has increased to Rs335.86 per litre from Rs280.86.
