Mari Energies announces gas, condensate discovery at Shams-1 well in Sindh
Well flows at 47.98 MMSCFD gas with 64 barrels condensate, drilled to 3,075 metres in Ghotki

Mari Energies Limited has announced a gas and condensate discovery at its Shams-1 exploratory well located in the Mari Development and Production Lease in Ghotki district, Sindh.
The company disclosed the development to the Pakistan Stock Exchange on Thursday, stating that the well was spudded on January 30, 2026 and drilled to a depth of 3,075 metres.
According to the company, the well targeted the Lower Goru-B sand formation. During testing, it produced gas at a rate of 47.98 million standard cubic feet per day along with 64 barrels per day of condensate.
The well recorded a stabilised wellhead flowing pressure of 2,404 pounds per square inch gauge during testing.
Mari Energies holds 100% working interest in the Mari D&PL block and is the operator of the field.
The discovery adds to the company’s exploration portfolio and contributes to domestic hydrocarbon output.
