FBR integrates 12,861 retailers with POS system, total outlets reach 35,761

The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has integrated 12,861 retailers, including Tier-I retailers, textile and leather outlets, and restaurants, with its Point of Sales (POS) system as of March 10, 2026, to document transactions.
According to official data, the total number of integrated branches and outlets has reached 35,761 during the period.
The FBR reported that 11,301 Tier-I retailers are registered under the POS system, with 23,674 of their branches connected to the network.
In the restaurant segment, 1,000 outlets have been registered, while 1,490 branches have been integrated with the system.
Similarly, 560 textile and leather retailers have been registered, with 10,597 of their branches linked to the POS system.
In February 2026, the total number of registered large retailers stood at 11,141, indicating an increase in registrations.
The FBR has also removed data and charts from its official website that previously showed details of connected and disconnected, closed, or active and inactive retailer branches.
