K-Electric appoints Syed Taha as CEO, replacing interim CEO Adeeb Ahmad

K-Electric Limited has appointed Syed Taha as its new Chief Executive Officer, replacing interim CEO Adeeb Ahmad, with effect from April 15, 2026, according to a company notification filed at the Pakistan Stock Exchange (PSX) on Tuesday.
“We would like to apprise that the Board of Directors of K-Electric Limited has appointed Syed Taha as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Company, in place of Mr. Adeeb Ahmad, the interim CEO, with effect from 15 April 2026,” read the notice.
The appointment was approved by the company’s Board of Directors and communicated to the Securities & Exchange Commission of Pakistan.
Syed Taha currently serves as Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited (PSO), a position he has held since February 2020.
Before joining PSO, Taha worked as Executive Director at Oasis Energy, where he led the Program Management Office of Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company in Nigeria.
He has also previously served as Chief Distribution Officer at K-Electric and held senior roles in multiple organisations.
Taha holds an engineering degree along with an MBA in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration (IBA), Karachi.
The appointment marks a leadership transition at K-Electric, with the new CEO set to assume responsibilities from mid-April.
