Myco holdings leads pre-seed round in BuyPass to scale Pakistan’s video commerce push
Myco Holdings has led a pre-seed investment in BuyPass to scale Pakistan’s live video commerce model. The platform already tops 1M app downloads and nearly 500K monthly active users.

Myco Holdings, a Web3 streaming and media-tech platform, has led a pre-seed investment round in BuyPass, an online shopping platform targeting Pakistan’s emerging video commerce segment.
The deal is aimed at accelerating BuyPass’s expansion of a live shopping model that enables users to purchase products through television broadcasts, positioning it as a dedicated shopping channel in the local digital commerce space.
Myco founder Umair Masoom Usmani said the company, alongside Daman Investments Chief Executive Officer Ahmed Khizer Khan, had supported BuyPass founder Muhammad Ammar Hassan since the early stages of development.
He said the latest funding marks a formal deepening of that backing, with Myco Holdings now leading the current investment round for BuyPass.
Usmani said the investment would help push video commerce toward mainstream adoption in Pakistan and strengthen BuyPass’s growth trajectory.
He added that BuyPass has already crossed one million app downloads and has nearly 500,000 monthly active users across mobile platforms, while its TV distribution network reaches over 90% coverage nationwide.
According to Usmani, the investment also brings a structural shift within the ecosystem, with Ammar Hassan taking a leadership role across both Myco Pakistan and BuyPass teams as they move into the next phase of expansion.
He described Myco as a builder and investor operating at the intersection of media, technology, and entertainment, saying the company continues to incubate startups and views media-tech as a key growth opportunity in the region.
BuyPass offers products from verified sellers, allowing users to browse categories and complete purchases through a streamlined interface. The platform also claims to offer same-city delivery within three hours, integrating quick commerce into its shopping model.
Myco, one of Pakistan’s fast-growing OTT platforms, reports more than 40 million registered users. Launched in 2021 from the UAE by a Pakistani founder, it operates as a media-tech platform focused on content, technology, and financial empowerment.
