UK team arrives in Pakistan to audit airport security for direct flights
Department for Transport team to inspect Lahore and Islamabad airports as part of review of Pakistan-UK flight security arrangements

A team from the United Kingdom’s Department for Transport (DfT) has arrived in Pakistan to audit security arrangements at Lahore and Islamabad airports for direct flights between the two countries, sources said on Sunday.
According to a news report, the British team reached Pakistan on Sunday and is expected to begin its assessment on Monday. The first phase of the audit will be conducted at Lahore’s Allama Iqbal International Airport.
The team will later inspect Islamabad International Airport as part of the same review.
The audit is aimed at assessing safety and security measures for direct flight operations between Pakistan and the United Kingdom.
