Senate panel seeks record of non-custom-paid vehicles allocated to government departments
Committee asks FBR to submit complete list as responsibility for future allocations shifts to Cabinet Division.

The Senate Standing Committee on Interior and Narcotics Control reviewed the policy governing the allocation of non-custom-paid and tampered vehicles to government departments.
FBR officials told the committee that such vehicles were allocated to departments and official posts rather than to individuals under court orders. They said responsibility for future allocations would shift from the FBR to the Cabinet Division. At the same time, vehicles already assigned to police and other departments would remain with them under Supreme Court orders.
The committee directed the FBR to submit a complete record of all non-custom-paid vehicles allocated so far and sought clarification on whether future allocations would require cabinet approval.
