In a statement here on Thursday, President KATI, Masood Naqi, Senior Vice President Ghazanfar Ali Khan and Vice President Umer Rehan were of the view that the decision had been taken without taking the stakeholders on board.

He said Engineering Development Board was playing a fundamental role in the promotion of engineering. This board was established to oversee numerous areas related to engineering sector and it especially supported automobile sector.

Any such decision would prove counterproductive for this sector, Naqi maintained.
